GAEA is a New York based electronic collaboration of Duke Bojadziev and TK Wonder. Meeting each other in late 2007, they instantly developed a strong artistic bond. Within only six months GAEA's music was created and performed around venue's in NYC and Miami. GAEA's sound is a fusion of New York cutting edge electro, hip hop and world music.
Duke Bojadziev is a Macedonian composer/producer/performer based in New York City. His wide range of musical work includes scoring for Hollywood and European films, three solo albums and numerous tracks for worldwide compilations, co-writing and co-producing with Angela McCluskey, Telepop Musik and Neil McLellan from The Prodigy and remixes for Cindy Lauper, David Byrne and Blue Man Group. Duke has performed shows in
a lot of well known venues in New York City. TK Wonder (alias Takenya),
an MC/singer, was born in Baltimore, then moved to New York City and gravitated towards modeling, eventually appearing in several tv commercials. But, her focus was music. She became interested in stringing syllables together when she performed spoken-word poetry at the Wetlands in New York. Backed by Questlove on the drums and Scott Storch on the keys, Takenya polished her craft at the legendary Sunday night Black Lily events. She has been a guest artist at shows with Taylor McFerrin in venues such as Hiro Ballroom, Studio B, Nublu and Joe's Pub. As well as opening up for artists such as Erykah Badu and Talib Kweli.
